Our Process

How NHW Works With You

From your first conversation through long-term program management — here's exactly what working with NHW as your general agency looks like.

What a General Agency Does

A general agency sits between carriers and the market — providing brokers and employers access to products, expertise, and operational support they couldn't efficiently build on their own. NHW specializes in worksite benefits and corporate wellness, which means we go deep in a category most GAs treat as an afterthought.

For brokers, that means a true partner who handles everything from training to post-sale support. For employers, that means a team that manages the full benefits process — so you don't have to.

How We Support Our Broker Partners

1

Discovery Call

We start with a conversation about your book of business, target markets, and what your clients are asking for. No generic pitch — we learn your situation first.

2

Onboarding & Training

We provide full product training covering worksite benefits, corporate wellness programs, enrollment processes, and carrier relationships. You'll also receive all the marketing materials and sales tools you need to go to market immediately.

3

Active Sales Support

When you're in front of a client, we're in your corner. We provide presentation support, help you handle objections, and work with you through every step from proposal to signed contract.

4

Post-Sale Management

After the account is closed, NHW handles enrollment, employee education, utilization tracking, and ongoing service. Your client gets a great experience — without it coming out of your time.

5

Long-Term Partnership

Annual account reviews, ongoing product updates, and continued marketing support. As your book grows, so does our support. We're not done after the first sale.

For Employers

How We Work With Businesses Directly

1

Free Consultation & Assessment

We learn about your business — workforce size, industry, current benefits, and what's not working. We ask before we recommend. No assumptions, no generic solutions.

2

Program Recommendation

Based on your assessment, we recommend the worksite benefits and wellness programs that fit your employees and your goals — explaining each option clearly so you can make an informed decision.

3

Program Design & Proposal

We design the program structure, project the impact on your workforce, and walk you through what implementation looks like before you commit to anything.

4

Enrollment

We manage the full enrollment process using trusted enrollment technology. Every employee receives clear, jargon-free communication about what they have and how to use it.

5

Personalized Employee Education

Our benefit counselors work directly with each employee — not just a welcome packet and a phone number. Personal education is what drives utilization, which is what makes the program deliver real results for your business.

6

Ongoing Management & Annual Review

We track utilization, monitor program performance, and conduct annual reviews. If adjustments are needed, we make them. The goal is a program that keeps working — year after year.
